Venezuelan indigenous going through tough stipulations


UNHCR as of late (26 Nov) expressed worry over the tough dwelling stipulations of indigenous Warao households from Venezuela who’re settled in far flung places throughout Guyana.

Guyana is house to an estimated 24,500 refugees and migrants from Venezuela, together with some 2,500 indigenous Warao. Some have settled in hard-to-reach spaces close to the Venezuelan border and others in or across the cities of Mabaruma and Port Kaituma.

Since early 2020 some 250 Warao additionally discovered safe haven in Anabisi in northern Guyana. Greater than part of them are youngsters.
