The mayor of an El Paso County metropolis has been arrested on a cost of insurance coverage fraud – over a case that allegedly occurred earlier than her election final 12 months.
Isela Reyes, 41, the mayor of San Elizario, was accused of submitting a fraudulent insurance coverage declare – with a price between $2,500 and $30,000 – in March of final 12 months. She was sworn into workplace simply months later in May.
