Quuwatul Islam hosts celebration to thank emergency service staff



A mosque celebrated the contributions of the emergency companies at a particular occasion in Preston.

The Quuwatul Islam invited public sector staff from throughout Lancashire to recognise their efforts in retaining all communities secure in the course of the previous two years.

Imam Khalid Ibrahim stated: “As NASA discovers new stars and galaxies within the universe, Lancashire, and specifically Quwwatul Islam mosque, was blessed to host such auspicious native ’stars’ of our personal.

“The occasion was a thanks to all the various companies and people who had labored tirelessly and selflessly to serve all communities, however specifically my neighborhood, the Muslim Community of Preston.”

He spoke to a specifically invited viewers which included the Coroners Office, Public Health, Preston City Council, hospital medical doctors, police, the  Registrars Office, cemetery employees and mortuary employees.

Adrian Philips, the Chief Executive of Preston City Council paid tribute to the ‘monumental contribution’ made by the Muslim neighborhood in the course of the pandemic.  

He highlighted the work of the Council by way of the Preston Faith Covenant which focused help by way of the nominated religion representatives.  He additionally recognised the essential work carried out by the Lancashire Resilience Forum.

The occasion included the recitation of the Holy Quran, poems by the native madrasah youngsters and a particular presentation made by the senior and longest serving imam, Imam Ismail Daud.
