Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley known as Daniel Penny’s arrest an “injustice” and urged Gov. Kathy Hochul to pardon the previous Marine charged with manslaughter over the chokehold dying of Jordan Neely.
During a Tuesday interview on WABC’s “Cats & Cosby” present, the previous South Carolina governor defended Penny, saying he was making an attempt to commit a “good deed” by defending different straphangers when Neely started aggressively shouting and throwing trash on a crowded F train earlier this month.
“Military members, they’re educated to defend and defend. That’s what he was making an attempt to do,” Haley instructed hosts John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby.
