From the Architect: The defining circumstances of Villa Hovås are a rare view and a definite thought of the group of every day life.The response is a two-story home the place two contrasting plan layouts and an expressive play of volumes, openings and slatted facade screens creates a particular relationship to the encompassing world.Located in sloping terrain dealing with the ocean and the sundown in Hovås, an prosperous seaside suburb to the south of Gothenburg, the elongated quantity is oriented in an east-western route with a completely glazed aspect in the direction of the ocean to the west and a closed aspect in the direction of the road to the east. 

The backside flooring has a rational format of bedrooms and utilities alongside a hall ending in a voluminous lounge spanning over two flooring. Outside the glass façade, a terrace is bordered by a swimming pool. The communal area of the lounge is sustained onto the higher flooring by the kitchen, the place the view opens in the direction of the ocean with the pool within the foreground to create an impression of countless ocean. The rooms of the higher flooring continues in an elaborate composition, making a gradient of privateness ending in a sauna and an elevated terrace.
