ISKCON Dallas Temple Restaurant Featured on Texas Today

NBC’s Channel 5 Texas Today just lately featured Kalachandji’s Restaurant on the ISKCON Temple in East Dallas. Host Kristin Dickerson famous that the restaurant is the realm’s longest-serving and highest-rated vegetarian restaurant. She remarked, “Kalachandji’s has been feeding the mouths and souls of north Texans for over forty years.”
The first devotees got here to Dallas in 1970 and established a preaching heart. By late 1971, they bought the present property (previously a Christian church) in residential Dallas, and by 1972 the Deities Sri Sri Radha-Kalachandaji had been formally put in by Srila Prabhupada himself. The amenities have expanded over time to incorporate the TKG Academy, group gardens, an occasion house, and over twenty houses within the neighborhood. Based on pageant attendance and different knowledge, it’s estimated that there are over 15,000 followers within the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. This month, town will host the already sold-out Sadhu Sanga celebration over Memorial Day weekend, which is predicted to attract essentially the most devotees but of its North American choices.
