Six vacationers had been killed and 17 others injured in a significant avalanche in India’s northeastern state of Sikkim, native police stated Tuesday.
At least eight of the survivors are in crucial situation and rescue operations are ongoing, senior police official Tenzing Loden Lepcha informed CNN.
The avalanche came about close to the Nathu La mountain go and struck a street connecting Nathu La and the state capital Gangtok.
