Hungary’s technique for connectivity

From the rise of China and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to extra unbiased center and regional powers – our world political order is quickly altering. But what’s Hungary’s place on this more and more multipolar world? 

In this week’s episode, Mark Leonard is joined by Balázs Orbán, the political director of Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán. (They will not be associated.) Balázs can be the chair of the board on the Mathias Corvinus Collegium and in 2021 wrote a ebook known as “The Hungarian Way of Strategy”, through which he describes the nation’s “technique of connectivity”. How does the European Union match into this imaginative and prescient? And what sort of relationship does Hungary count on to have with Russia when the struggle ultimately involves an finish?
