There is a life fully devoid of sunshine, a life filled with darkness. In such darkness stay all whoremongers, lechers, drunkards, who serve passions and lusts.
There is a life in which there’s not solely no gentle, however bloody darkness. This is the lifetime of thieves, robbers, bandits.
And within the Lord Jesus Christ there was true life, a lifetime of larger aspirations for goodness and reality, and this life is inextricably linked with the innocent gentle, the sunshine of God.
It was not John the Theologian, however the Lord Jesus Himself who instructed us: “I’m the Light of the world, whoever follows Me won’t stroll in darkness, however may have the sunshine of life” (John 8:12).
This innocent gentle is the Divine gentle, which individuals needed to know. And on the nice day of His Transfiguration, He confirmed Himself to the three chosen apostles with the shining gentle of the Divinity, in order that they might testify to the world that He is the Father’s radiance, the Gladsome Light of the holy glory of the Immortal Heavenly Father.
His Divinity was revealed to the world within the gentle of Tabor, that gentle that shines within the darkness was proven, and the darkness didn’t overcome it; the sunshine that illuminates each one who comes into the world. “He was on the earth, and the world got here into being by means of Him, and the world didn’t know Him. He got here to his personal, and his personal didn’t settle for him.”
For this, after all, he’s topic to judgment, the judgment will consist in the truth that “Light got here into the world, however folks liked darkness greater than gentle, as a result of their deeds have been evil” (John 3:19).
Not all didn’t settle for, however to those that accepted Him He gave the ability to turn into youngsters of God. To us, who liked Him with all our hearts, He gave this authority, made us “a selected era, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a folks taken as inheritance, that we would proclaim the perfections of Him who referred to as us out of darkness into His marvelous gentle” (1 Peter 2:9). For us , “the night time has handed, and the day has drawn close to.”
“Let us subsequently postpone the works of darkness and placed on the armor of sunshine” (Romans 13:12).
The Apostle Paul stated to the Ephesians who turned to Christ: “You have been as soon as darkness, however now you might be gentle within the Lord” (Eph. 5:8).
And if that’s the case, if the sunshine of Christ has shone upon us, then we too, like vibrant stars, or no less than because the weakest ones, ought to shine on the world that lives in darkness, with the sunshine of our souls, with the sunshine of reality and love, with the sunshine of mercy and good deeds.
We should love Christ with all our hearts, all the time remembering, because the apostles, witnesses of the Transfiguration of Christ, who knew that His demise was voluntary struggling for the salvation of the world, which didn’t know the best way to be reconciled with God, who didn’t know that “God is Light, and there’s no darkness in Him” (1 John 1:5).
Let us look intently into our hearts and discover out if the phrases of Christ don’t apply to us: “See to it, then, that the sunshine inside you shouldn’t be darkness” (Luke 11:35).
And if we see no less than a small darkness, then we are going to disperse it with the sunshine of tearful repentance, and within the gentle of Christ we are going to see the true gentle. Amen.
