Fr. John Kalaides and the Miracle of Saint Paraskevi

In the village of Sintiki within the prefecture of Serres, the place the holy father lived, there’s a Chapel of Saint Paraskevi, on the foot of the mountain. Because the realm has many chapels, the place many miracles befell, my grandfather used to inform us that this place is a second Mount Athos!So he [Fr. John Kalaides ] as soon as instructed us:

“At the foot of the mountain (Beles), there’s a very previous Chapel of Saint Paraskevi. We obtained permission from the archaeological service to restore it and the previous roof of the church needed to be eliminated. The feast of the Saint was approaching and I used to be questioning how we have been going to do the Divine Liturgy with out the roof, as a result of it was extremely popular. They had positioned a small tent for me, within the sanctuary. Then I stated: ‘Saint Paraskevi, how will the previous ladies stand within the solar? Please do your miracle!’ The day of the feast got here and throughout the Divine Liturgy, slightly cloud got here and stood above the trustworthy till the top of the service! It dissolved when everybody left!”

This transferring miracle, as instructed to us by the elder, moved us and established in us the understanding that we had earlier than us a sanctified Father of the Church!
