Crook steals $200K in jewellery in NYC smash-and-grab


A criminal used a sledgehammer to shatter the entrance door of a Brooklyn jewellery retailer earlier than pilfering $200,000 in jewellery from the store, authorities stated. 

The smash-and-grab occurred round 3:45 a.m. Aug. 17 at Glitz Jewelers on Seventh Avenue close to Carroll Street in Park Slope, cops stated. 

The retailer was closed when the robber snatched assorted jewellery price $200,000 in whole, authorities stated. 

Police early Wednesday had no particular particulars on the objects taken. 

The suspect grabbed the trove of knickknack from Glitz Jewelers in Park Slope.

Authorities launched a photograph Tuesday evening of the suspect, proven sporting a camouflage jacket with the hood pulled up and a surgical masks.
