After Cyrus Mistry’s demise, Hansal Mehta shares the story of his ‘close to deadly accident’


A day after Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a automobile accident, filmmaker Hansal Mehta shared the story of an accident he survived in his 20s. Taking to Twitter, Hansal revealed that whereas travelling in Fiji Islands, his automobile “went off the highway and dropped from a peak” in an accident that might have killed him.

The Scam 1992 director tweeted on Monday, “Nearly 30 years in the past, I used to be a boy in my early 20s. I had a close to deadly accident in Fiji Islands. Cyrus Mistry was not sporting his seat belt in the course of the automobile crash on Sunday afternoon. He was returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. Earlier, Dia Mirza urged folks to put on seat belts after the accident. She stated, “I urge you to put on your seat belts. Teach your youngsters to put on seat belts. It saves lives.” Besides Dia, different celebrities like Anupam Kher, Suniel Shetty, and Boman Irani too condoled Cyrus’s demise. His final rites shall be carried out at Mumbai’s Worli crematorium on Tuesday.
